Boosting phone signal by using more battery power.
« on: July 25, 2013, 01:29:27 am »
Hi Aadventurers, I have a brand new E7 with terrible reception in comparison to my other 3 Nokia phones, it loses signal reception 2 miles before the other phones (FYI it is not in a case , also same terrible reception using different simcards.)

What i am wondering is if i can use something like Phoenix to reprogram the phone so it uses more battery power so it can receive signals better . or if there is some other way of achieving the desired result.

Thanks if you can help .

Nikki

Unfortunately, it does not work quite like that, mate. The signal reception is limited by antennae (or aerial) design and some phones are better than others. There are copper sheets inside your phone's chassis serving as antennae and there is not a reasonable (or prudent) way to improve their capacity.
Since your phone is new, you might consider exchanging it to see if that one was somehow faulty. i have not yet heard any complaints about poor reception on that model (or any high-end Nokia, for that matter), so it may be that it was somehow damaged before you got it.
