?????? appeared instead of contact names

I am using Nokia N8 Belle refresh & Nokia 701 Belle Feature Pack 2.
then I use Nokia Sync to synchronize the contacts between them. All of sudden, the contacts become like a question mark ???????????
I don't know what happened exactly. I have tried to delete all of them & copied them from the SIM contacts. but they appeared like that when the synchronization is occurred?

can any one help to solve this problem?

Oh that's a weird one, have you turned off sync then tried adding them manually ?

I want to find some solution for this problem because I have tow mobile with the same problem.  Nokia support isn't answering. even some messages coming as abnormal?

Seems more like a font issue to me.Did you do anything to your phone or it could be nokia suite(if you use that)thatb mess up the font.From what i see it could be either your n8 or 701 didn't support certain font.Example n8 support arabic but when you write the contact name in arabic and transfer to 701 which don't support arabic then it will show question mark as 701 don't have the language pack thus cannot display it.Hope you understand me.

i imagine Nokia Care will not respond if you have modified your phone... What did you tell them?

Bingo. i see a right-to-left (semitic) language and if you (or anyone else...) changed the font or deleted the Qt support for the language, you will have lost all on-screen support for those characters.

I haven't change or modify the phone font. Both phones I have N8 & 701 are supporting Arabic language.

Fortunately, Nokia has respond to my enquiry. They said they are still providing support for Symbian phones. I am still trying to get answer. Either from our forum or Nokia themselves.

This right to left (Semitic) is Arabic language. So the contacts are in Arabic language. Then I didn't change the font or remove Qt support for Arabic language.

I have deleted all the contacts from the phone & copied them from the SIM. The contacts became OK. But once the sync is started, the contacts become again like a question mark.

I want to know the reason behind of this problem ?

What I remember is some contacts appeared from the Facebook first time. Only a few contacts changed automatically because of the Facebook. They appeared like a question mark. After that with a few days all the contacts became like ?????????
 I am using Nokia social app for the Facebook on my phone.

I think the contacts on you're Sync account have messed up, you might have to create a new Sync account and add them all back manually.
