@ Allstar aka Paul: What do you mean, when you say 'needs some changes though' ?

Has anyone tried hardware-keys?

Remember that qooPlayer project is our youngest project and development just started.
Suggestions are welcome.

Stefan from qooApps

I won't even ask how you know my name :P

But it all seems a little clunky for me, the options menus are tiny, way too small for a Capacitive screen.
And sometimes when i close it and open again the tabs at the top only show half ( kind of cut in half).

Also to be honest the sound quality is not upto scratch, probauly a Qmedia problem but if you can improve  then please do.

And the volume works from the hardware keys, not tried any other functions yet.

this might sound 'not so helpful' but sure its a compliment.

I think this version is just perfect afaik no improvements are needed. Lol

;) Sorry for blowing your cover off.

Ok, we will optimize GUI, but this will get a lower priority.
Sound on my C7 is terrible, but with earphones it's very smooth and clear.
I will see, what Qt let me do with audio.
Maybe we decide to use Qt 4.8, but then we cannot add an app widget - this only works til version 4.7.4.
Tough.

Thanks, no problem. It gives me an impression of the variation of user experiences.
Someone like, some other not.

Maybe you could take a look at this : https://github.com/mangolazi/Smooze

The sound quality is not too bad from the loud speaker.

But couldn't you create the HS widget as a standalone app and link it to qoo player ?

I don't found any function in Qt QMediaPlayer to do this. Maybe I check older Phonon API for this feature.
Other way is to check the underlying codecs and their Interface. But it seems not supported and writing a own codec will be a absolutly mess.

So the solution is to recode/remux the mkv files.

sad to hear that, but i understand...
thanks for your reply! ;)
