Hello Symbian Developers... 


Recently I used my phone as modem and I used it more than 20min but not more than 30mins and downloaded a data of 200MB+.
Then My phone restarted and rebooted automatically but the problem is that it just repeats restarting and then I tried to force shutdown my N8 by press and holding the Power Button then I removed the MMC and SIM then I turned it on and it was fine without  a SIM. And I turned it off again and put the SIM and turn it on in offline mode then it was fine... but when I change it to general profile (to stop using offline mode) the phone restarted... then restore to factory setting (delete and restore data) then I boot same as I said above but my phone still don't boot properly when it has a SIM.

Before it crashed the temp of my phone when using it as modem is so hot maybe 60 degrees ++...

Now i'm using my phone without SIM..

 


Hello again guys!! I recently discovered that my Nokia N8 still detects the simcard. When I open the social application it doesn't open if there is simcard. and when I put simcard but I set the phone to offline mode cause if not the phone crashes I am able to login in social app. and I open the contacts and check the my simnumber it shows my numbers and sim contacts so it means the phone recognizes the simcard but if it's not in offline mode the phone crashes. Please any idea on how to fix this?

I use mine as modem all the time, for hours and gigs at a time.

Try flashing a cfw before taking it to repair, it mighr help.

yeah always used my phone as modem for more than 1 day but the last time I used it my phone crashes even it was only 30mins of usage.
