Hi,

I have a dead Nokia C5-00 (RM-645) which I am trying to flash using Phoenix version and end up with this error:

The flashing failed. Do you want to retry the flashing?

HRESULT 0x8401f141 (-2080247487)

Flash: Boot rom was not detected after phone boot up. Unable to start flashing.

I am performing these steps from windows 7 64 bit virtual machine running under VMWare Fusion 5.0 in my Macbook Pro running Mountain Lion OS (10.8.2)

Is flashing from a VM supported?

You will need to run windows, the emulator prob doesn't support the drivers

Hello,

Yes again you are right! its the antivirus who blocked me from using Phoenix.

However i tried to flash my phone. but am getting  below error and tried more than 3 times always i get same error.

----------------
The flashing failed. Do you want to retry the flashing?

HRESULT 0x8401f141 (-2080247487)

Flash: Boot rom was not detected after phone boot up. Unable to start flashing.
----------------

OS : Windows 7 64 bit (Home Premium)

As i mentioned in my post, My Nokia N8 is totally dead, when i connect charger the red light above usb cable doesn't light-up, maybe thats why its not able to boot rom ??

If anybody else facing similar issue please advice on how to proceed further.

I need help flashing my 808PV, after Phoenix completes the programming the phone shows the Nokia logo but cannot boot up and restarts in a loop cycle until it turns off itself in 1 min. What I'm doing wrong?
