MAC IDs can be blocked by network administrators and changing your MAC will allow you to access a network from which you had previously been blocked.

Help for changing it comes from iExtraX7, mate:

This solution can change the mac address of wlan, in your phone. Now for Nokia Belle. As example if the admin of server locked your mac, you can change it to other)))
Installing:
1)Apply patch and add in domain- or normal- autostart.
2)Install an application
How to use:
1)Go to E:/ChangeMac.dat, and change mac to other
2)Go to application, which you installed.
3)Check changedMac in the dialer *#62209526#
This solution had created wadowice a long time ago. It was working on old phones. I fixed the RProperty4all patch, and now it works on Nokia Belle.

are you sure it changes the real MAC adress or only displays another on the phone itself (similar to software IMEI hacks)?

I never tried this mod

Have you tried using DomainSrv auto-start for the patch?

If iExtraX7's patch doesn't do the job for you, i don't know what will.
i have never tried (or cared to try) changing my MAC.

that's not an answer.
Does it show another MAC in the log of your wifi router or only in the phone itself?

It only changes what your phone displays; not the actual MAC the router sees.
