[Needs testing] Fixed Swype v2.1(4436) for 2014
« on: January 29, 2014, 12:18:06 am »
Hello,

you all know Swype v2.1(4436) has stopped working this year.

The working fix from varfolomey is based on the old build 2.01(4426), I used the same method (replacing the date inside of PenInputLayoutPluginSwype.dll) to patch v2.1(4436) which is a slightly updated version (you can compare them e.g. via WinMerge, there are a couple of diffrences.).

it works fine on my side, could you test it on your device and with skins + language packs?

Regards

Wonderful

Swype seems to be back!
Some writing this text, Swype is already in use!

Thanks for this patch, for the work and time you invested!

Best regards,

Martin

This still doesn't work properly on my Nokia 701 Belle FP2.  :'(
It covers the Input Area. Ever since FP2 was released Swype seems to have this problem with it. How come even after so long No One has found a fix for this? :(

maybe because FP2  is closed source and has a lot of UI/API changes?
