On which phone are you trying to do this? If it's the N82, you have to install a virtual keymapping app and find out which keys the headset buttons are mimicking, then change them in Z:\private\10282BC4\Rules\. If it's the N8... it might be a bit trickier.
The file you will have to modify in Belle will be dfs7x92_keyconversion.rul and v3 will be (name)_keyconversion.rul. You can copy the file to the same directory on C:\ (make the folder if it doesn't exist) then remove the Read only property and edit it to the mapping you want for the audio controller, then reboot your device.

First thanks "matthew" for really fast reply :)
For good old N82 (great S-phone) is uselles as it has keys and headset commands are working only to dedicated built in Media player. Only volume keys are useable with other applications...
Sad that The Magic key has no effect on headset keys only with pys60 modified mediakeys module from "watt" (watt.org). There was some of use but only as app built in feature... Unable to run in background...

The phone i want to control is N8 (belle 0609) as some older applications really "require keypad".
Example:
Dosbox or simple the applications ported to non-touch S60v3 FP1/2.
I am surprised that S^3 has this feature...
Thanks again i try to make keyconversion.rul for custom app.
