Title: [Tutorial] How to fix component is built in and file is corrupted error
Post by: kjustas1 on December 23, 2012, 07:13:45 pm
This tutorial is tested only on my Nokia 701 FP2, so it should work for other FP2 devices too.

Apps you need to be installed: RomPatcherPlus_3.1_FP2 (http://sdf.allstarsoftware.co.uk/index.php?topic=4139.msg28808#msg28808) and Nokia_Filebrowser_101 (http://sdf.allstarsoftware.co.uk/index.php?topic=56.0)

Files (patches) you need to download: (All these files I found in our forum, so all credits goes to their authors :) )
RunInstallServerNotForRom.rmp (http://sdf.allstarsoftware.co.uk/index.php?topic=3554.0)
Install Server RP+ v1.7.rmp (http://sdf.allstarsoftware.co.uk/index.php?topic=4139.msg28808#msg28808)
Install Server RP+.rmp (http://sdf.allstarsoftware.co.uk/index.php?topic=1834.0)
installserver.exe (http://sdf.allstarsoftware.co.uk/index.php?topic=56.0)
Download Files you need.rar (http://sdf.allstarsoftware.co.uk/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=4842.0;attach=12746) and you will get these files at once :)

Let's start:

hey bro i m hacking my device 1 st tym so plz tell me all d the process of hacking plz
1. hack your phone by this tutorial: Hack FP2 Devices Without Flash Using SafeManager !!] (http://sdf.allstarsoftware.co.uk/symbian3-modding/hack-fp2-devices-without-flash-using-safemanager-!!/) During this tutorial you will install rompatcher and SafeManager will ask you: do you want to forbid RomPatcher from autostart (something like this :)), press No.
After installing RomPatcher delete SafeManager

2. Make this tutorial How to fix component is built in and file is corrupted error (http://sdf.allstarsoftware.co.uk/symbian3-modding/(tutorial)-how-to-fix-component-is-built-in-and-file-is-corrupted-error/)

3. Download .rar Read .mif files from Z To E for fp2 (http://sdf.allstarsoftware.co.uk/symbian3-modding/read-mif-files-from-z-to-e-for-fp2/) to make modified widgets working
Make sure Install Server 1.7 RP+; Open4All RP+ patches are activated in RomPatcher and using filebrowser copy all .mif files from z:\resource \apps\  to e:\resource \apps\ To copy faster in filebrowser press options>view>sort>by extension, then press first .mif file and the last .mif file and all files will be checked, then copy

Hey all :)
I'm new at all this and this is my first time here. Yesterday I hacked my Belle Refresh N8 and I wanted to install some widgets but the same error was shown. Is this solution going to work for me or is there another one ? :)))
Thanks in advance mates,
Cheers  :D

+1 Thanks for the share. Firstly you can use x-plore to move files or do you have to use the Nokia filebrowser? Secondly a lot of us will already have these files installed on our N8/808PV, so will just installing the Runitstallservernotforrom file suffice and continue with the instructions? Thirdly will this work on Belle FP2 as I want to put this on my 808 PV.

Thanks again

Hi. I followed the instructions and everything was fine. I wanted to install the transparent digital clock widget and I got an Update Error message. All the patches are enabled so was surprised to get this message. Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi, if you followed all instructions everything should work. Try to uninstall digital clock widget first and try again. Other solution: Download siscontents (http://sdf.allstarsoftware.co.uk/pc-tools-essential-for-modding/siscontents-updated-to-v1-7-5-2-(7-1-2013)/msg34327/#msg34327), extract digitalclock.mif from .sis file and copy it to c:\resource\apps or e:\resource\apps depends on what aknicon.dll you have.

You need to hack your phone first, and then install RomPatcherPlus_3.1_FP2. After installing RomPatcher in your c: will appear patches folder

when you download Rompatcherplus_3.1_belle_fp2.zip, there are 2 files: Rompatcherplus_3.1_fp2.sisx and Rompatcherplus_3.1_fp2_LiteVersion.sisx. If you can't install any of them, then something went wrong with your hack. Then try hack again, more info here  (http://sdf.allstarsoftware.co.uk/symbian3-modding/hack-fp2-devices-without-flash-using-safemanager-!!/)

It shows "component built in " error on my N8. I tried reinstalling part of the widgets but it doesn't help,  also it showed the same error when I tried to install the theme effect base package sis. :)

Did you follow all instructions ''how to fix component is built in error'' here and activate RunInstallServerNotForRom and Install Server 1.7 RP+ patches with RomPatcher? If yes, then I have no idea what to do  ???

since you've some patches in f it wont read the patches from c. Just move patch to f drive.

This is the latest X-Plore (with a nice Belle icon mod by Simograndi). It is not signed, so obviously your phone will need to be hacked first.
File Browser is another useful file management tool.
i use them both.

Start with telling us what device you are trying to hack. When installing NortonSymbianHackLDD.sis, please tell us exactly what happens - what is the exact error message you get?

Sorry, i missed that.
With a CFW, hacks are usually built-in. Try consulting the CFW's writer to ask for their help.

You flashed it with an original firmware? If yes, then back up all of your phone's data and perform a hard reset (*#7370#). After the reset, retry the hack. If you are able to hack your phone now, then go ahead and restore all of your data.

This is your hacking tutorial here: http://sdf.allstarsoftware.co.uk/symbian3-modding/hack-fp2-devices-without-flash-using-safemanager-!!/
If you want a CFW, you look for one yourself. Choosing a CFW is based on what you want, not what someone else told you to use.

Google Nokia 701 CFW. There is a CFW forum on this website where you will find a lot of info. Also, there is a forum for Nokia CFW at http://nokiaflashlab.blogspot.co.uk
Like i said, you will have to do this for yourself. We can not find a firmware for you, nor can anyone here tell you why your phone is not being hacked because you are not describing what is going on very well. i suggest you remove your memory card, hard reset and then reflash your original firmware and then try everything again. Or just accept having an un-hacked phone. Choice is up to you.

Make sure you installed 3.1, you flashed with a UDA and that you didn't install it on memory card or Mass memory.

FP2? You have to use the SafeManager hack for FP2 and the special ROMPatcher+ for FP2.
http://sdf.allstarsoftware.co.uk/symbian3-modding/hack-fp2-devices-without-flash-using-safemanager-!!/

Good luck; i don't have any experience with FP2 :P
