Try a hard reset and then install social again using the file from here (http://store.ovi.com/content/137675).

yeahhh...try with hard reset and reinstall it via SW update...:) but all your data will wipe out once you doing hard reset...:)

Ya don't forget you'll loose all the data from C drive if you do a hard reset.

Maybe not the problem, but...
Make sure you allow all social related apps auto start with phone boot. That was a prob for me in the past
