Sorry, but all app-widgets have 312x82 Pixels - this means it covers everytime a full row.
The only thing I can do is to build such a long-row-widget with full transparency and the Icon with
current day on one side - is this what you mean?

Oh, so c++ widgets size are limited too like WRT ?

Yeah there are some strange limitations and it seems that NOKIA has fully dropped the support for this API. So this is time for smart solutions.  8)

Dam Nokia, how  about using Qt for the widget ?
That hasn't restrictions to what I know of.
