« on: August 12, 2013, 04:08:16 pm »

Tian Media Transfer (TMT) is an application to send and receive easier media content (like image, video, audio) through a WiFi connection. Simply start the application on two devices need to send and receive then select what to transfer. This application is compatible with Dukto (R6) application, so you can use with any devices that has Dukto installed. Dukto client has Windows/MacOS/Linux/... and be distributed for free at: http://www.msec.it/dukto

Buy it at Nokia Store

What are the changes between Dukto and this app, not counting the fact, that it's paid, has a bit different UI and got rebranded?

It's have the same features as Dukto, but easier to send image/video because of reimplement the picker.
And I remove the feature to send/receive text.

Good. :)

But... I'd like you to notice one thing. Dukto, which your app is based on, was released on GPL v2 license. Which means, in theory, you should redistribute your work also on this license. I hope you already read this:
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/old-licenses/gpl-2.0.html

My app is also based on another app, this time, it's GPL v3 and I'm aware of the fact, that technically, I have to put my source code somewhere etc., but I'm actually planning to. Anyway, just letting you know, that it's important to have a look at all this license stuff.

Ok! Coder is not my job to live, so I only do a little research, but I have asked Emanuele before, and he have told me what to do, so you will find TMT source code soon on the Dukto public SVN repository - I'll send him my source code because I don't know what to do at the moment :)

Just didn't wanted you to get in trouble because of all this license stuff. :) Btw. I like the changes you've made, Especially with sending images, I hated doing it file by file.

Thank you! I also hated that, so I implemented TMT.
Now Emanuele - Dukto's owner has been having a small post on his official site about TMT ;)

This app is great.
BTW it doesn't kill opera software like Dukto does.
Please implement send/receive text.

Is it necessary? I just wanna transfer my media data quickly, it's in the name of my application. But if there are many people need text send/receive feature, I will implement.

I just thought about another issue.
I noticed app doesn't work with joikuspot wlan network.
For ex. in case no wlan available around me I launch joikuspot. Then it's possible to use symftp or dlna with my own wifi lan. Tian MT doesn't work this way.

You need a WIFI AP with DHCP support or you need to input the IP address manually (I think this should work, but I could not try because on my phone, Joikuspot has error to run ^^)
