[TUTORIAL REQUEST] How to write theme effects
« on: November 10, 2013, 10:44:47 pm »
So i have been reading theme effects for a while now, and i want to try writing from scratch instead of just rewriting the existing.
Perhaps the grand masters of effects might be willing to write introductory tutorials for the theme effects noobies? :)
i post this in v5 specifically because i want to make use of the particles in the kml-based effects and because the manifest is much smaller than S^3's.

I kinda forgot to reply to this ::)

I have forgotten how to write S60 v5 effects now :/

Best you take a look at the files, it will all start to make sense eventually.

No worries, mate :P i know you have way too much on your plate for this now, anyhow.
i have been rewriting them since you let me change the colors in Green Mania and i rewrote some stuff in the hidden default ones, too. It's only that to be sure, i don't really know what the language itself means, i just know what i can tweak here and there to slow it down/speed it up or add more particles, change a slide's mask, etc.
i guess the beauty is with the effects manifest on Z:\ now pointing to C:\, it isn't the biggest deal if the definitions are crap ;)
