Title: N97 problem
Post by: oogits on August 13, 2012, 02:35:11 am
Hello everybody.

I have this N97 of my father in law.
After trying to free some space in C he came to me with the problem.

Most apps are gone, some are not working.
It is impossible to access photos, settings and contacts and... yesterday I had his phone connected to my PC and didn't back it up.

Now I copy the mass memory and I think it has his pictures but I cannot find contacts.

I guess he has deleted a sys file from C (he moved from C to E).

What can I do to get the contacts?
Can I access C using PC?
Can I copy sys files to C to try and fix it?

What other things might help in this situation?
Any idea?

Thank,

Oogits

Sort of solved...

I left it during the night to copy the mass memory.
In the morning (now) I checked the phone and it was off.
I switched it on, and after few errors it showed the homescreen and, I even have the contacts!
Maybe the OS Restored missing file/s during the restart.

BTW, it showed 0b as free space and now it shows some free space...

Now I make a backup then, Reset...
