Nokia E61i-Can't type correct symbol on the keypad

I just order Nokia E61i from ebay, but i can't type exactly symbol in the keypad. I think that cellphone had been changed the keypad.

2. When i type on the keypad, it is show on screen with QWERTZ keypad as below:



Pls help me find the product code in order to upgrade firmware. We need to upgrade firmware so that i can type exactly character on the QWERTY keypad as No.1 picture.

The product code should be under the battery or printed somewhere on the casing.

Mate, you might have to source a properly mapped keypad.
i tried using the keymap from an 01.01 ROFS2 on an E72-2 where the ROFS2 is 45.01 and the phone bricked. It is fine to switch these in S^3, apparently, but not (by my experience) in S60v3.

I know where get the Product code on my phone (or use software to read product code). But my phone had been replaced keypad when i got from ebay. I try to find QWERTZ keypad to replace to ensure type character correctly but can not order in my local. We only change product code and upgrade firmware. Someone can see keypad and give the product code, i hope!

I knew this is Portuguese keypad. Can someone advise me what is the product code with Portuguese keypad?

0538128 EURO-V1 English, Portugues

Simply flashing the firmware for these product codes will not change your product code.

Finally, i found the product code for R-227. It is 0542891. Your information is product code of E61-1/R-89

We only change product code and upgrade firmware.

It will not likely work, mate.
i just tried doing this on an E6 and the phone did not brick, but the keyboard is useless and the phone seems quite unhappy about this nonsense.
You have to source a physical keypad somehow.
