ohk,sanjay as u know somehow graphics editing,i wud say first open any default icon in vector editor(inkscape/illustrator) just double click on icon in carbide UI,wen u get icon opened in vector editor u can edit that icon, for first time try to just analyze the structure of icon,either change size n shape and color of icon,dont directly hope for best icons as u bgner.if still u need help let me know we'll keep a session for tht online :) hope this helps u :)can I edit icons in Photoshop?

Also have a look at the design guidelines, it will help you out
dont worry if illustrator is not working for you. You can make your icons on Inkscape too. But carbide wont allow the text based icons made from inkscape, for that you will need illustrator. First make an sketch of the icon you're willing to make on a paper, than try and make it on inkscape using its tools (for that you'll have to be familiar with every tool first). And once your icon template is done, half of the icon work will be completed. All the best :)Thank you so much Pulkit!
