Title: Nokia 500 - battery reached 0-10% after few hours of use.
Post by: Jusko on March 15, 2014, 07:17:32 pm
Hi.

I don't know that this is problem of Nokia 500 battery or Symbian Belle battery management (or maybe my battery need replacement).

The problem is that battery can stand maybe 3/3.5 hour of intensive wi-fi usage (videos, internet browsing). Today i've watched short movie (33 min.) and battery lost about ~30%. In that case, battery need to be recharged after ~9 hour of use. Brightness is set to lowest and wi-fi is turned on only when it's needed.

I've read few opinions on internet - in two reviews was wrote, that battery can stand maybe half day or one day at least (like in my case), other people wrote that battery can stand 2-3 days of usage.

I've put Nokia C6 battery (BL-4J) to Nokia 500 and battery stand a little longer but on end of day it was almost empty too (it was need to be recharge about 11 AM second day).

In that case i don't know if it's fault of battery old age from N500 (i'm the second owner) or this time's are normal for Nokia 500 battery. I'm thinking about buying new battery but i don't know if it changes something so i asked here in first place :)

Probably best to get a new battery, they all start to die after a while.
