Nokia Phones Bella
« on: July 23, 2012, 12:09:52 am »
 Hi

Sorry if this is the wrong place just joined
I have just come back to  Nokia running Symbian  having been with Android for a while i have not had a Nokia smart phone before  after trawling through the Nokia Forum and ovi shops bit disappointed in the lack of utility applications is this because Symbian is not open source like android or that the forums are heavily censored by Nokia

With android phone you seem to have application than clean files and cache cleaners  plus memory savers and other utilities

 New Firmware and other items
Still trying to run through the site may find more information

You can install Netqin mobile security for symbian if you want an utility that will help you clear the cache and others stuffs. And yeah, android has way more apps than symbian, but don't know if the quality is there. But for symbian, there's an app for everything and they are pretty good, fMobi for example is awesome, its a facebook client. Well happy you joined the symbian crew. May I ask which phone you own ? And hey, there are custom firmwares too, if you want to hack, mod, flash your phone.. That's pretty great :)

I Had the chance for a Nokia 701 which i liked because of the bright screen in Daylight  I have always been with Nokia but never smart phone as always more expensive but i liked the quality

I like the phone because of its quick GPS and maps off line
Just downloaded Google maps but can not get it to work even the wi-fi fix  so give me some thing to due

i have had a Galaxy Ace nice phone but poor in daylight

Just checked and it appears that Netqin can not be used on 701 as when you set OVI store Phone it is not there only there with other ones !!!!

I suspect the same reason i can not get Goggle maps  to work must be something strange about the 701

Your 701 may be running Belle FP1, mine is a C7 and netqin worked well for me. I think the application is free, you can google it then and install directly the sis file
