Title: Help with Nokia Maps needed
Post by: b5historyman on September 10, 2013, 12:18:46 pm
My 808PV crashed and I had to do a soft reset. Two toggles refused to load so I had to uninstall and reinstall from an sd card back up. The problem I have now is the Check In app is no longer working, it just comes up with system error. I'm currently on holiday so can't do a restore to factory default settings. Does anyone have a .sis file of the Check in app or can extract it from their own 808? Any help appreciated or further advice on what to do:):)

You can just download nokia map suite 2.0 from nokia  store and it should reinstall map, drive, guide and check in which is part of nokia map suite. This should solve the problem though this MAYBE will delete all map and you need to download the map again.

which means unistalling the entire maps suite as it will not allow you to load over the top straight from the store

Unfortunately yes.But the whole process uninstall and install should take half hour only.Though you will lose all the satellites image you saved while browsing the map.Moving "cities" folder in mass memory to other place and moving back when finish installing in theory should preserve the image.Never try before
