Title: Few questione about Belle and apps
Post by: Alan Slade on June 26, 2012, 12:23:08 pm
Good morning.
I've bought an E6 two weeks ago, and updated it to belle.
I would like to know some things.
1) Is there a screensaver the always show the clock, like the Large time screen saver (http://"http://my-symbian.com/s60v3/software/applications.php?fldAuto=412&faq=8") for the s60?
2) Is there a way to create folders (not the albums, because they are in another part of the gallery) inside the gallery like the s60?
3) Is there a widget\app to lock the screen without sliding the switch on the side of the phone?

These are the questions in my mind at the moment.
Thanks to anyone who can answer to them :)

1) I guess that you can set up clock screen saver in Belle.
2) I have no idea :)
3) You can use QuickLock app and you will never need to slide side switch for locking...

1) Yes, but the clock disappear after few seconds. Instead with the Large Time screen saver, the clock was always visible...
3) Quick lock is not supported by E6 in the Ovi store :(

Try installing Quick lock using .sis file... It might work!

I tried installing Nokia sleeping  with the .sis file, and it worked. But the screen saver is not persistent, I  fact after a few seconds the clock disappears.
Instead the Large time screen saver was always on the screen :(

However, another quick question. Does exists a mod that shows the percentage of the battery on the status bar?
Thanks again

Installing it with .sis file? Is sleeping screen not available for E6?

Is this again an issue of Aspect ratio!

No, it's not avaible.
However it seems that this new generation of Nokia displays doesn't support this type of screensavers, because I copied the .sis file of the Large Time screen saver on my previous E51 and installed on the E6, but the display shut down though.

However, for the percentage of the battery on the status bar can I do something?
Oh, one more thing. When I plug the E6 in my pc, Avira Antivirus says that has blocked the file autorun.inf on my E6, because it is dangerous WTF?  :O

You can try this for clock screensaver: http://store.ovi.com/content/1836
You can also find out some free ones too... Just do some research!

Regarding battery status. Even I am looking for something which can display battery status, but as of now I am using Nokia Battery Monitor 3 App. It is fairly correct.

LOL on your antivirus problem. I am not sure what to say on that. May be your PC / Laptop is worried about Nokia Symbian OS too... :)

@Alan Slade
don't worry about the virus,it won't affect your mobile, make sure you've updated your antivirus and do a full scan of your memory card.
@jitesh.dhawan
try battery info by monday coder, it shows battery status.
