Title: Configuring push email on Belle FP1
Post by: msirapian on September 11, 2012, 04:10:07 pm
Hi

In Belle (N8), when creating a email account, I had two options: "via ovi" or standard, ie, via nokia servers or full manual configuration for "other providers".

I had noticed that:
1. In standard, I can configure everything, imap, smtp, return-address, etc BUT when a frequency is fixed (15min, 1h, etc.), it doesn't work. Whether it stays connected (3G) the connection being inactive, whether, it just ignores the frequency
2. In "via ovi", it works great but you can't change your return address.

Now, on my 808 (Belle FP1), I'm surprised. Whenever I create an email account (.ovi.com, .hotmail.com, .gmail.com, etc.), it ends qith a standard box. I can't use the "via ovi" method, no push email.

Is it the same for you? Now my boxes have stopped to sync automatically, I have to enter the accounts, and quit them when done, if not, it can remain hooked to the 3G connection without using it.

I hope it will be better on FP2.
