We all knew that Symbian OS had been abandoned by Nokia and put it to maintenance mode.
Why didn't Symbian Developers team takeover Symbian OS and continue it's development like Jolla did to MeeGo?
We will always support Symbian OS & Symbian Developers.

The chances of them giving us Symbian is about as slight as the world ending today.

ahh comeonn ! Symbian aint dead yet ! Accenture is gonna provide updates for symbian but that doesnt mean nokia has abandoned symbian ! Accenture has 3000 nokia employees being transfered there for the work , means its nokia itself and they have signed an agreement to provide symbian with updates till 2016 ! Ok

Yeah, but how far will those updates go ?
One a year maybe ?
Fp2 hit the Symbian path, now we don't know of any upcoming updates

hmm yea i agree with u in this , i just wonder alot about the updates , 6-6 months for merely 12mb update?? That too full of bugs?? Just some animations and camera ui? Not done !
You know what i think? Nokia is using that MeeGo strategy again , keep updating symbian and make it look "attractive" just like it is being done right now till the new OS is prepared ! :) hope i am right !

Thats where you are wrong mate, 12mb in code sense is a hell of a lot.
The changes in Belle Fp2 where more than the UI upgrades; there was some serious internal changes.
The updates we have being recieving where planned years in advance, this is the Symbian road map and Fp2 reached the end of it.

yes you are correct :)
But nokia should develop nokia belle further, for huge screens like S3 and comeout with better and bigger screen.....;)
Windows phones from nokia are against apple......but what about anroid.....nokia should come up with better nokia belle devices.... And kick anroid hard :p
