Great! I'm gonna try it tonight on my girlfriends phone.
I updated to Belle yesterday, but now she wants to kill me. She hates it, and I must admit she has a point. 2X6 squares instead of the old version. Really big widgets compared to the old Anna version. Much more information on the first screen on Anna.

So, after 3 hours yesterday with almost bricking the phone, I'm gonna try this tutorial tonight

Syarm, I was using the official update of Belle but I want to downgrade to Anna. I am using a C7. The first 2 downgrades went in very smoothly (installation of N8 Firmware). I must also add, when the N8 firmware is successfully installed, the flashing screen on my display comes upside down but Phoenix says that the Firmwares are installed successfully.

But when I try to install version 13.016 (that is the lowest firmware version for my C7 product code): phone simply dies and no matter how much I try, Phoenix doesn't go through with it.

Then I have to install Belle again.

Can you please help me??? Can anyone Help me??? I really want to downgrade..

do u want to use Pr 1.2
See, if u dont want to use anna or belle, simply flash with the firmware that is direcectly lower to the v22 firmware.. and u will succeed..

do these steps:
1.Flashing ur C7 with RM-596 version 25.007(N8 firmware)[use Phoenix Service Software 2010][use update software button]
2.Flashng ur C7 with RM-596 version 11.005(N8 firmware)[use Phoenix Service Software 2010][use refurbish button]
3.Flashing ur C7 with the lowest version of ur C7 (C7 firmware)[usePhoenix Service Software 2011][use update software button]

and after 3rd step, flash the firmware u want.. like if v13 is not booting up for u.. try the next one higher

v20+ is anna
and v111 is belle

Thanks UpakulRox. But in the 3rd step I am having my problem. I can't install the firmware version that I am getting for my phone in Navifirm. I am using a C7 RM-675..

For instance, My device's product code is 059B7V6. The lowest version of firmware available for this Product Code is 13.016. Which is not being installed in my phone.

I would also like to ask, if I can't install the lowest version of firmware available for my phone, can I use something instead, like straight to ANNA???

Please let me know.

yes...you can straight flash to anna if you facing problem with pr1.2 firmware...it confirm 1 of my fren faisal rana..

Hi.. I think what I'm going to ask may have already been asked before (I apologize in advance). But if I flash my C7 with a custom firmware (say Anna or an early version of Belle), can I still use Nokia S/W Updater or Nokia Suite to Upgrade to the latest official versions that nokia provides? Yes JeffyPrince, you still can update to Belle by using Nokia Suite or Nokia Software Updater...

I want to downgrade my Nokia E6 from Symbian belle to anna.

I know this guide is for a nokia c7. Per the following steps:

1.Phoenix Service Software 2010
2.Phoenix Service Software 2011
3.RM-596[N8] version 25.007
4.RM-596[N8] version 11.005
5.lowest version of your phone's firmware
6.Anna firmware for ur phone[or any firmware that u want to use]

My question is for a Nokia E6 do I have to follow steps 3-4. Looks like in those steps you are flashing your nokia with Nokia N8 firmware. Then in step 5 is where you actually put the correct firmware for your phone. Is this correct?

yes...you must follow exactly like the summary.....put ur firmware file in c/program file/nokia/phoenix/product/RM-xxx....

Ok After following this my phone is completely dead. My phone will not turn on anymore.

When i try to do a dead phone flash i get the following error:
The flashing failed. Do you want to retry the flashing?

HRESULT 0x8401f141 (-2080247487)

Flash: Boot rom was not detected after phone boot up. Unable to start flashing.

try this again after disconnecting and reconNecting cable. Also make sure that you use correct files and lower firmware is necessary. The tutorial itself is clear i guess. Make sure you do it correct. If problem persists post it here.
