Nokia's possible MWC surprises!
« on: February 27, 2012, 04:48:38 pm »

We have got enough leaked info about what Nokia is putting up in MWC and here’s a full list

1. Nokia N8′s Successor – Nokia Pure View – Nokia 808 :  This is the device that comes to my mind at first. This biggest attraction for the MWC…

which Nokia has been building for almost two years. Nokia N8 was announced in April 2010 and it proved to be a camera monster beating each and every camera phone in the world, wining numerous prizes and still beating new devices. The unbeaten camera monster (I own an N8 too and I know that camera). It’s been the 1st Symbian^3 device and now that Symbian Belle has already been released and Symbian Carla is just about to come, Nokia N8′s successor coming in with it is a no surprise. Nokia fans and N8 users has been waiting for a while for this product now. They have been waiting for a good specs bump with a more powerful camera (1080p recording?) and some good looks ;)  Nokia N8′s successor has always been a very heavily rumored device and we have had posts abut this in the past but when Nokia officially teased somehing called “Pure View” we were sure it’s the next Symbian Monster, the next camera king. Here check out the video:

It might look like this?

Possible configuration of the N8′s Successor should be:

1. Symbian Carla

2. 1080p video recording and playback

3. 1Ghz+ Processor (maybe dual core)

4. 512-1024MB of RAM

5. A crazy camera with a crazy mega pixel count (Well, thats what we heard)

2. Two Nokia Windows Phones:

- Nokia 900

- Nokia 610

We already know one of them must me the (currently US only and not yet available) Nokia 900

Nokia 900 is Nokia 800 with a larger screen a secondary camera for video calling.

This should be the high end Windows Phone to be released globally at the MWC while the other should be a mid end product.

I am actually more interested in this new mid end windows phone which really looks very promising. The Nokia 610. Looks like a somewhat C7/701 design but much more pretty!

s

But if in case the device actually ends up looking like the ones (Nokia Windows Phone Concepts) below, trust me, that device will be the next best seller!

Possible Specs for the Nokia 610 should be:

- Windows Phone Tango

- 3.2″ display

- 3MP camera

- Minimum of 256MB RAM and 1Ghz processor

- The price around Rs 11,000 INR (wow really?)

3. Finally three new low end S40 phones:

- Asha 302

- Asha 203

- Asha 202

Nokia Asha phones have been very popular in India and with dual sim functionality, these cell phones certainly make a way to every Indian’s pocket.

Here is a pic of Nokia Asha 302 (it maybe fake)

Whatever goes, This MWC should be big for Symbian with the Nokia N8′s Successor. It must be a real Symbian high end device and if Nokia does proper marketing of the product just like they did to Lumia and just what they didn’t do with the N9, this device will be a vey successful one. Symbian has been redefined. Symbian Belle changed the symbian world and if Symbian Carla comes in such a good hardware (dual core), I can only imagine how pure this device will be!

Here is what we got in the recent Nokia Press Release about MWC

On Monday, February 27, the first day of Mobile World Congress, Nokia will host a press conference, where it will announce significant industry news. The press conference will be hosted by Stephen Elop, Nokia’s president and CEO. Due to the pending public transportation disruption, doors will be opened, and accredited media admitted starting at 08:00 a.m. CET.

All attendees to the Nokia Press Conference must have an official Mobile World Congress pass identifying them as accredited media. Unfortunately, admittance to the press conference without accreditation is not possible.

We strongly encourage all attendees to register and collect their badge over the weekend. Please note, badges can only be collected in person and cannot be collected for other attendees. On Monday, February 27, MWC registration at the Fira opens at 07:00 a.m. CET.

Due to space limitations, admittance to the Nokia press conference will be on a first-come, first served basis.

For those unable to attend, we will offer a live webcast of the press conference at: www.nokia.com/mwc

Seen that line “ Nokia will host a press conference, where it will announce significant industry news” ??

That’s right what we are waiting for.
