Web domain
« on: December 27, 2013, 06:17:17 pm »
Can anyone help me about this problem. If i buy a domain from godaddy let say "symster" and use it free at hosting site as "www.symster.com".So the website will grow with multiple link like "www.symster.com/xxx.html","www.symster.com/s/swsw.php".So if i move to other web hosting, will all the link affected if move to other hosting but still using my old domain name.

I ask this question because currently i use free hosting but as my content grow i intend to switch to a more reliable, stable web hosting but don't want to lose all those link as this mean started all over again.

Well you will have to transfer the domain over to your new hosting, once you transfer both the domain and files it will work fine, we have moved hosts three times and only needed to transfer the files and domain names over.

Thank you very very much.So you mean all I need to do is use my domain name in new hosting site and use all existing files and all will be business as usual?I still didn't buy a domain but this method is better than using a paid hosting and using their domain .

Yes, you will need to set up the new domain to work with the new hosts servers but they will show you how to do that.
