actually i had tat files but dont know where i lost them i lost almost all the firmwares
including the cwfs for n8 also
and well it will be good to be here then any other post as u know the thing which i explained u

There are two versions by different devs to what i know of.

The outlook is not so shiny though, now. Pretty much everyone has jumped ship on Symbian by this point.
i am just barely starting to learn the really cool stuff and the ship has already capsized.

Create a new store is not that easy.It even takes nokia two years for nokia store app and nokia store server to support update notification.If you just set up store and sell then its pointless.That is why opera mobile store didnt take off so well except for java app.Right now all we can do is mantain current app for existing users.But long live symbian

The problem is there are too many subforum.Just look at dailymobile.The forum is ugly but neat.All symbian related is group under one section only then sub forum with one "general symbian discussion"only.Here is nice graphic but confusing with "general symbian^3 discussion"and"general Symbian"discussion".Too many redundant forum and this make follow up post difficult.

Dailymobile is for all OS's, SD has categories for different types of Symbian.
I admit it could be organised better, I will probably look at a better way to organise it without loosing important boards.

Not enough traffic to get it commercially supported, is there?
We get thousands of views a day but Ads made the site slow and ugly, and no-one clicked on them.
Especially since the majority of our users where from poorer backgrounds and their area had pretty bad internet connections.

It's not good for the users, even I hated them, ruined the loading time.

The problem is there are too many subforum.Just look at dailymobile.The forum is ugly but neat.All symbian related is group under one section only then sub forum with one "general symbian discussion"only.Here is nice graphic but confusing with "general symbian^3 discussion"and"general Symbian"discussion".Too many redundant forum and this make follow up post difficult.
Are you high, mate? Take a closer look at the sections (especially S60v3/v5) because there are a number of overlapping and redundant sections. It is so difficult to find a thread at times that i have started bookmarking them.

Don't take this as slander; i am only saying we all have an idea of our own how things ought be organised. What does your sock drawer look like?

i was looking at the possibility of Symbian Store as the next Nokia Store (as soon as i saw its new name, i thought "hmmm"). i just see it as the next step for devs to have a centralised and known site, with the hope of an app somewhere ahead if it goes well.

i tried logging in while you were doing it, so i had a look around to see the results.
It looks tidier now, but everyone is going to have their own idea about the organisation, mate.
Imagine your movies... Do you organise them by alphabetical order? Fiction/Non-fiction? Genre?
i remember trying a dozen ways to organise my DVDs back in the day and finally went with the simplest, least cool way of doing it.
It's your site and you are doing all the work so :P on everyone who throws stones.
Make your own site and do as you wish with it if you don't like this one, i say ;)
To answer your question, though, the only thing i would really like to see is every section of the site (v3/v5/S^3/Asha/WP/PC) having a dedicated Tutorial section.

Hmm, I might add more Tutorial sections in the future but we would need Tutorials first :P I've created boards before and no-one ever posted in them, Meego was the main one.

There are plenty of threads in the forum already which are basically tutorials and requests for them, mate. Just the task of going through them and organising those is a task in itself.
i would like to help (if i can) by tagging all the threads which could go into tutorial sections.
i would also like to think i could write a qualified tutorial on how to make an effective request for information, too.

I am talking about theme dailymobile forum uses. The themes of sd forum keeps me away from being active because i don't like dark theme and grey theme, it's very disturbing for me.

Go to your profile and change the Look and Layout options. At the top is Themes. There is a light theme available already, mate.

Ermm, you see it would be tricky to add another theme, we have a lot of umm dodgy coded mods which don't like being re-installed and break the forum.
I can try but if it breaks the forum I shall be very pissed off.

Correction, not gonna happen, that theme was discontinued ages ago, it's only on DM since DM uses an ancient very un-secure version of SMF.

last time i checked, that theme was installed here http://sdf.allstarsoftware.co.uk/Themes/core/theme_info.xml but it wasn't added to the theme selection list. Oh well, i guess i have to use firefox gracemonkey exstension script to display pages differently on my side....
Or at least add this theme www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=442036.0 if dm theme is a big no. Backup forum if you think something will go wrong.

That theme looks exactly like the Windows embedded theme from NT... i use that theme in XP. i like it, too ;)

Maybe you are right, but you have a far greater Symbian aptitude than 99.999% of the forum, mate. You will know ahead of time if something will work or not.
What i mean is that my help tends to be incomplete a lot of the time. i reference platform-specific files or edits without mentioning they could be different on the different phones.
i just amended the post i made on the thread about disabling the start-up sequence because of such an issue. i think a lot of people will just assume what works in one instance will work across the board and dive right into dark water.
i have bricked making that assumption :P

Still goings strong for SD forum. ::) 8). Happy for this but kind of sad in general. This mean symbian community is getting quite as dailymobile is seen as symbian last stronghold for me other than AAS website. The last activities in symbian section is 15 days ago. That is very long long time for place with most active symbian users.

There is really nothing much you can do and it will only get worse as the symbian community keep shrinking. A forum need a good balance of geek users and active ordinary users to maintain active forum activities but now all are geek users only and occasionally a new users posting and never return.
How much it cost you are a year to maintain the forum with all the domain names included?

Also, there is very little advertising for these sites outside of mentions on other Symbian websites (like AAS), so unless a person catches a post on a Nokia discussions board referencing a site like this before a moderator catches it and deletes the post, they may never know about these resources (because apparently, even here in 2014, people still don't ever use Google ::)).
Frankly, in my opinion (for whatever that's worth), i just can't understand why people aren't leaving DMF and resuming the community here.
The new DM is very heavy and user-unfriendly (with intrusive and excessive advertising), and they seem to be desperate for an iOS crowd which doesn't want to use that forum.
Only the Symbian community is active there, but the attitude toward Symbian is just like Microsoft's.
By the way, MS killed another one of our apps: IR is now only manually configurable =oP

I already created few account at dm and most of the time forgot the password and never log in again. It feels overcrowded and not personalised.
Right now all major Os already have their own specific forum and minor os still out of commercial sight.

I have often wondered that, DMF is no longer Symbian friendly, I still remember the massive arguments that used to erupt there on Symbian vs Android.
This site has no advertising at all, the place is pretty organised and we welcome Symbian users with open arms.
