I previously posted a problem regarding my unresponsive touchscreen notification bar of my Nokia C6-01. Seems like my touchscreen had a problem after all.
I did change the Digitizer (along with the front casing) from Nokia Care last month... I noticed that during both outgoing and incoming calls the screen turns off. I have to manually turn it on by the lock key every time I receive a call. I realized the glass in front of the proximity sensor (top left corner of the touch screen behind the digitizer) is missing. Nokia care said this is a faulty casing and it is very unlikely to find a replacement at all. :(
I have searched all over and saw it is unavailable is Bangladesh.
My only option seems to turn the proximity sensor off somehow.
I thought of opening the Digitizer from the new case and put it in the old one, but I guess its a very risky option.
Any mod or patch to help me turn the sensor off??? :'(

In February I had same problem with C6-01 and turn off proximity sensor.
You have to change Z:\private\10282bc4\Rules\dfs7x92_proximity_sensorcontrol.rul (copy to E and change on PC or on phone) and put to C:\private\10282bc4\Rules\ . Restart phone
Change (attribute "Read-only" must be off): open in text editor, find
<contextRef source="Device" type="ProximitySensorState" value="On"/>
and change "On" to "Off"
<contextRef source="Device" type="ProximitySensorState" value="Off"/>
Or take my changed file from Attachment.
P.S. It's turn off proximity sensor for everytime - when you talking too. Therefore turn off the screen by lock key if you want

Is there any way to do the same on nokia 500 (belle refresh)?
I did find the folders you are talking about at C: drive, there's no Z: drive and no dfs7x92_proximity_sensorcontrol.rul at C:
Could you help me as well?
EDIT: Okai, found them, had forgotten to set the configurations for x-plore.
Thank you very much
