Very nice but sadly is a bit buggy. So i went back to my old task:(. Sometimes i needed to press even 3 times to select an app. And that is no go for me...

Hi,

downloaded the SIS file onto my N8 with BelleRefresh and installed RomPatcher 3.1 with the active InstallServer patch (see attachment).

Sincerely the SIS still raises a certificate error and stops the installation.

Any suggestion, what to do?

Best regards,

Martin

I think Refresh needs the modded installserver.exe that comes with the hacking package to go in C:/sys/bin

I thought I patched the binary c:/sys/bin/installserver.exe already.

Here the file details:
  • size: 73kB

Sorry, I'm not that firm with the terms and expressions around modding.

I didn't patch the installServer.exe at a binary level, by exchanging parts of it!
I replaced the installServer.exe!

What do you mean with "moving the installserver"?

Would it work from e:/sys/bin, too?

Best regards,

Martin

Don't bother patching anything.
There will be an installserver.exe in the Rompatcher+ package.
Extract that from the package and copy it to c:/sys/bin
then restart the phone.

But make sure Rp+ is installed on you're memory card so it can be easily fixed if there's an problem.
