Is it workin' 4 missed e-mails?

Menu>Settings>Profiles>Profile name>Personalise>Email alert tone. Email alert is off by default, so maybe you can assign a tone for it, mate. If you already have, please accept my apology.

What i cannot understand is why email notification is not working.
According to the context framework rules (Private\10282bc4\rules\dfs7x92_light_missed_events.rul):

The Email App itself probably no longer sends the new email signal, shame they stuffed the email app as well.

Did this event notification for email work in S60v5? There have been a number of successful ports from 9.4 to 9.5, so maybe the email app could be ported, too.

Well, i want to learn to port, anyhow.
i might give this a try (although i very seldom use the email client on the phone, either)
