you can have 2 different analog clock now...and it load all .mif from Z to E...so now you can use bateery icon mod/pop up clock mod/mail/wifi/fm toggle without flashing...:D

HOW TO CHANGE .MIF FILES:
1.Rename C:/sys/bin/AknIcon.dll to AknIcon.dll.old
2.Reatart your device
3.Now copy your .mif file to E:/resource/apps
4.Then change C:/sys/bin/AknIcon.dll.old to AknIcon.dll
5.Restart your device.
this is for wat buddies...?

Hello, i need some assistance, how can i remove this patch because after applying this, i lost some icons, like on Whatsapp the icon on the last tab, is lost, also the icon on Whatsapp, the one infront "Contacts" and also numerous other icons!! So i wanna disable it seems, it doesn't work well for me

Having the same problem as well.. i clearly copied all the .mif files to e/resource/apps but apparently some icons and the "contact,favourite" widget is not showing anything.

go to c/sys/bin....rename Aknlcon.dll to any name...restart....then you can delte this file...:)

am usin nokia n8 with taylors pro edition. i moved the mif files to C/resources/apps n applied the joshlogpatch.sis and restarted the phone. then moved the widget skins by syam, that is the mif files to C/resources/apps and restarted. but my skin is still the same :(

You should not move to C:/...Read carefully first post "Move .mif files to E:/resources/apps"

I'm using taylor's leak, before this i use E drive patch. Now, C drive patch. No problem. All working on my side. Maybe you missed something somewhere.

Used the patch for 701 fp1 on my 603 but battery and signal icon disappeared, splash screen are working, So can you make working mif for my model?! Also tried syarmwawa widgets which working but not as expected...

Guyz One more thing if you using this patch and after restart your Menu's Some icons Not Appear.... so plz do these few steps again....
Copy All files (all files means all files) from Z:\Resource\Apps\ and paste in E:Z:\Resource\Apps\
Copy All files from C:\Resource\Apps\ and paste in E:Z:\Resource\Apps\
Overwrite if asked....restart your phone and now all icons are appear again...

not so sure. i think you use wrong cmailhandlerplugin.

Forgive my bad English ... however the problem of mail not transparency is in effect (which are) but when i open the mail box a popup tells me that there is no connection while there is and I can and also navigate with the browser currently does. I not only open mail arrived, and i can not read them or delete theme or colse the mail windget and are forced to switch off and restart to make other working. I first copied all mif to E by z and then I have installed with no problem sis of pach joshlog I can do? I repeat: my nokia n8 is a Belle upgraded and I have aloso jin-Hao theme effects in E without problems ... help me ...

I finally managed to run the mod! fantastic! I was wondering .. not knowing or wanting to flash my n8 ... now that I put the mod I could try to install the entire operating system from among those developed for nokia n8? or in this case is the flash?

hello, mate. With this mode all other mif works without avkon2.mif except the one from ROM z drive. My phone is c6-01. After rebooting some icon got missing with new avkon2 but if i use it in cfw then avkon2 works. I've tried in v609 and 610, but can't succed. Please somebody help me.

As a new user in this community, I find it a bit hard to understand how things work.
I understand that flashing is what I did to my C7 in order to have Belle on it (using Phoenix).
So I guess when you say "Without Flashing" you mean without the need to implement a .mif in a OS and flash it to the phone, right?
Is flashing the only way to get a .mif on Z:? Is this why we use this patch, to be able to use .mif from accessible location (E:)?
Why not just use .sis files? I have downloaded from here and installed transparent widgets and it was very easy, why do I need .mif?
Can't I put a cool transparent Email widget .mif that I download here and put it in the Email widget's .sis (using sisContents for example), and install the .sis?
Or is it hard to make a .sis so you make a .mif?
It's more then enough. I'm not complaining, yes? Just trying to understand?

since you have a first gen phone you dont actuall need josh patch until the next update coming soon because all your widgets are in c:/ but in the nest update they are in z:/

Great mod, but is it possible to mod the font color as well? I would like to have my black big calendar I had on my N8 on my 808. Modding the .mif would result in black fonts on black background. In my sis, the .mif and .ooo0 files were modded.

Hi All,
I am new to this forum/ Purchased 701 recently and do like to install awesome Glass skin. It requires Joshlog patch. I am facing below issues:
1. Joshlog.sis: unable to install because of certificate error
2. Instead, when I tried to copy the Joshlog.rar files to C: drive the X-plore says error. Can not create the folders (the folder bin/hash not present in c:\sys)
Please help me. My phone is 701 with FP2.
