I'm really hoping that someone may be able to offer me some help/advice.
I updated my Nokia E7 today with the latest Belle update. I did this using a PC cable and Nokia suite, which I plugged in and left it to run, but when I returned, it had timed out and said that the cable was disconnected (it wasn't and my phone had full charge so no idea what went wrong).
The option was there to try again, so I did. Again, it said the cable was disconnected. The thing is, my phone screen had gone black and only had the white Nokia sign on it, now it won't start up as it only gets to this point before switching itself off.
Also, Nokia suite will no longer recognise that the phone is plugged via cable, so I can't even try to re-install the update. Its weird as the light by the cable blinks when its plugged in!
I contacted Nokia and their only advice was to go through the trouble shooting guide (which didn't have any option similar to the problem I'd described to then) and if that didn't help, then to visit my nearest Nokia Care Centre. My nearest centre is 20miles away and as my phone is out of warranty, I'm guessing they'll charge me for the privilege, so has anyone got any advice?
I haven't even got an unlocked phone that I can temporarily use my simcard with as all mine are locked to the 3 network
Luckily, I made a back-up before attempting to install, so I don't really care if I lose any data and I've been reading about dead flashing, do you think that this would solve the problem?
Thanks in advance for any help that you're able to offer.
