« on: December 28, 2014, 10:18:31 pm »
was running Delight Belle 6.4 listening to streaming radio phone went into boot loop.
tried hard reset no help and phone became bricked.
tried re-flash Delight Belle no luck
tried orig. product code flash no luck

flashed Scand. firmware but phone would not properly boot
flashed orig firmware successful, but still not properly booting.  I get nokia screen blink and scrolling dots a few times and phone goes back off? also tried another hard reset no luck.

Format your memory card and refurbish with Delight.

how do I format memory card? do you mean hard reset?

I plan on staying with OE firmware till I know the phone is working properly.  I will revisit Delight Belle later.

No, turn off the phone and connect it to a PC, then either right-click and format the memory card orjust highlight everything on the card and delete it. Remember to back up anything important, first.

Again, turn off the phone and start the refurbish flash, then when the popup comes on with flashing instructions, plug the USB cable in and do nothing else. That's the normal procedure for flashing via USB.

Do you have a memory card reader? Remove the card from the phone and use a card reader, or another phone.

Are you referring to the user removable memory card?  because all of my flashes have been done with the sim and memory card removed.

to complicate matters, I think my battery has gone flat.  will have to look for a replacement.

Aren't you using dead phone USB flashing?

Yes "Dead phone Flashing".

I am not sure I understand the bit about the memory card.  I thought it was recommended to remove the sim and memory card before flashing.

thanks

i've never removed the SIM and if i flash a corrupted phone, i wipe the phone memory and the memory card, too. There is a file for the memory card ... MC_F_nocard.mcard.cardverref.xml that i flash, as well.
Basically, format memory card, three-finger reset, turn phone off, start dead phone USB refurbish, get the popup dialogue, insert the USB cable and click OK.

that's great.

I am waiting for a replacement battery.  My N8 wont turn on at all w/o usb plugged in.  Pretty sure the battery is flat.
