Hello

I'm actually talking with the dev of Tablet Talk
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.apdroid.tabtalk&hl=en

Tablet talk currently allow you tu use an android device without sim card to send sms and recieve them, using an other android device with a sim card.

Since Symbian phone can run Java apps, the dev of Tablet Talk think of porting it to Symbian, but before would like to know how many people are interested, i'm asking it on multiple forums, includind Sym Devs forum ! !

Do you have a Symbian phone and an Android Tablet ?

If yes, Tablet Talk support for Symbian seems interesting to you ? Why ?

Please, if you are not concerned (not USING on a daily basis a Symbian Phone) don't vote.

Hello

This is not exactly the topic, here the point is to use the Symbian as a proxy to send and recieve calls/sms on an Android Tablet.

I'm sure if Nokia make a Symbian tablet, someone will make something to pair the two symbian devices.

To help, you just need to tell if you find it interesting to use your Nokia phone as a proxy for an android tablet to send sms/mms/calls and recieve them too, actually, it work in a way to use an android phone as a proxy to all thoses orders, but the creator could make it compatible with nokia phones too

All you have to do is to tell if you find it interesting or not.

Good news ! More people want it, more chances it will happen ! Creator plan to make only the Android part paid, means you won't have to pay for the Symbian part (but you will need both anyway)

Please talk about this topic to people that may be interested to give feedbacks there !

I don't have android,neither i am planning to buy. But if it is compatible with other symbians. Then i am interested.

11 votes so far but no so much comment, do you find that Tablet Talk is perfect ? (From reading it google play page)

Do you think it should be ported and work exactly how it does on Android Phone or do you think it need some changes to fit better with Symbian world ?

it can be easily ported to symbian via qt QML Nokia even have tutorials

The creator want to port it in Java actually because he used dalvik java emulator to make it work on Android

If you have the tutorials link, i'll send him and he may port it in qml instaed.

Well QML is mostly java like android give him this http://www.developer.nokia.com/Develop/Porting/
or ask him to register here so we can talk to him directly.
