The update is in Nokia QA, but Motaz has decided that the Application is to be made paid at the minimum price possible.

I am very excited to offer the new version of "Battery Status" ... you will love me for that ;)
l
Not anymore if it become paid app. There is nothing special about this app to make it worth buying.

If you had an E6 (which was left as an orphan from the date of its release) on Belle, you might have an appreciation for this app. Or perhaps you just don't like Battery Monitor by Nokia and here is an alternative.
Title: Re: [Preview] Battery Status By Motaz

And another example of why we have no devs left, attitudes like that.

Also the E6 is fully supported as shown above.

Yes, and whereas Motaz has made numerous contributions to  the community's benefit, some have not.

It's made in Gaza and that make it special :)

I want to keep it free with the option to donate, but from my experience no one donate and I really need some money (I'm from Gaza and the situation is very difficult there .. the electricity comes 6 hours per day only :(). so please leave some appreciation !

Note: At least you have the old free version !!!

If someone create great apps like quasarmx, cutetube, situation, smartoffice all those app then it is worth buying but this is just a battery monitor with some power saver stuff, widget all those only. There are some app that can do better than these. If the app could give a battery health status like remaning capacity, battery charged cycle then at least it is worth buying as no other app can provide such stat other than nokia care itself. Now that I would call worth buying app.

There is already too much of this battery, shutdown, locker app in nokia store already and some even dare to be paid app like shutdown app.

i do not presume to speak on behalf of the forum or for any of its members, but i would like to ask you to please leave this topic, forum, whatever.
i am very tired of the exclusively negative comments you make. If you aren't here to be supportive, maybe you should just go somewhere else.

How to support something that is not worth supporting for me.I can support belle button, cutetube, cameralover, symDvr,phonetinfo and more paid app and games.

Maybe you should just stop copy other people idea make new Ui from it and sell for quick cash.Try to make real app like multicoded video player or some new type utilities app.

EDIT:Tone too harsh because I though it is motaz that reply.Admin please edit because for some weird reason the forum won't delete the text.Only can add new.

and about "copy other people idea" (so show battery info is an idea) ... really !!! Look at Microsoft Office and Apache OpenOffice same idea with difference UI.

I will continue to develop apps for Symbian so kill your self :)

Note: symster develop some apps and show us your skills. if you can!

Really nice app. The only option I do miss in ii, is the unplugged time. Maybe you could put it in charger tab in future versions. Then I'll call it perfect :)

No .. there new update version 1.0.1 (It's will published soon), I worked hard in the last month to fix all the problems so I think the v1.0.1 is last update :(

You should include the function even if you have no plan for new version at least to make future proof. My app even is just a utilities app don't require internet,i also put this feature just in case.Plan to buy and hope there will be no issue that will make me regret.

I already put the ota update feature a month before d-day.The app itself already complete and bug free.
What actually are your Apps?
I see you talking about them but never found one.

Quote
I include the feature to make it future proof and be fair to my users by not making them buy ”dead” app.

Actually the next update in QA now will be it's third update, and we don't all have the time to do that.

I just used a easy way which loads my website, much easier than the whole download in App thing.

Or a XMLListModel with a string function, general if larger than the current it notifies of a update.

I think it's not that much upsetting that the store is closed. Now that you've learned Qt you can keep making Qt based apps and use the symbian store as an alternative. Then, in the future you can write Qt based apps for other devices with different OS as Qt is cross platform :) And I think you can feel free to copy ideas! I think it's so common if you don't mind my saying so. I dare to say that most of MMMOOO apps and Mr Alshahawy apps are made based on some other developers' ideas.
and about the player apps, what's your idea about this player by mobineon:

I think there are less than 10% currently nokia store user know about the existence of symbian store.Even now i still have people ask me official app store for their new bought n8.

Thanks for a very nice App. I notice however that when the battery is full, ie charging stopped, battery capacity is indicated at 87%. I also have Qoo battery widget which indicates 100% at this point. Is is possible it is a source of conflict. Are you aware of other conflicting apps or any possible reason why 87% indicates full capacity?
Title: Re: [Paid] Battery Status v1.0.1 By Motaz Alnuweiri
Post by: Allstar12345 on January 18, 2014, 05:37:11 pm
Probably calculated differently, you see battery apps can indicate 100% even when the battery will only charge up to 87% in your case, your battery may just be on its way.

Which is better than Battery Monitor 3.1 by Nokia and Battery Status by Motaz? ::)

I have one question.
Which is better than Battery Monitor 3.1 by Nokia and Battery Status by Motaz? ::)
Battery Monitor 3.1 by Nokia consumes a lot of battery when it's running. Battery Status by Motaz doesn't do that. So Battery Status by Motaz is better. But Battery Monitor 3.1 by Nokia monitors all apps and shows how much power each app takes.
Title: Re: [Paid] Battery Status v1.0.1 By Motaz Alnuweiri
Post by: projdhar on March 11, 2014, 04:29:51 am
Mr. Motaz, i've used this app and i find its clean, fast and purely Qt based native UI perfect
this is the best battery monitor app for Symbian hands down, only Nokia Battery Monitor's bit of functionality edges it out slightly, but then this app and its fabulous widget beats Nokia Battery Monitor too
i only really wish it had a "hide from task manager" option bcoz running in the background to update widget seems a bit cumbersome to me
(power user who switches app every 1.4 sec)
so, if you add that feature, it will be complete as an app
& please inform me about any other apps you've authored
i will buy them off the Nokia Store, devs like you, Mr. Alshahawy, Stuart Howarth, Huellif, Fabian n AllStar12345, Jan Ole Suhr need to be rewarded n set as example/role model for other devs

Post by: Motaz on March 11, 2014, 04:50:06 am
@projdhar thanks :D

To "hide from task manager" just click the back button or phone red key or close it from task manager it will hide, to really close it "Menu -> Exit"
Title: Re: [Paid] Battery Status v1.0.1 By Motaz Alnuweiri
Post by: projdhar on March 11, 2014, 05:53:15 am
Uhm, Mr. Motaz, i don't think you quite comprehend me... What i meant to say was a prevent the app from showing up in the taskmanager which comes up on the long press of the menu key (or Belle Extra Buttons TaskManager) with Battery Status working in the background like Belle Extra Buttons (& all of Mr. Alshahawy's fabulous apps too) and Eight by Michal Strug
what you've described here is a process to minimise / close the app which i pretty well know for sure
what remains to be implemented in the app is a "hide from taskmanager" option to enable them to work in background like "Belle Extra Buttons" (& all other Alshahawy appa) & Eight apps

Post by: Allstar12345 on March 11, 2014, 11:45:35 am
He did understand you, Menu-exit-hide does hide it from the system task swapper.
Title: Re: [Paid] Battery Status v1.0.1 By Motaz Alnuweiri
Post by: projdhar on March 11, 2014, 01:24:07 pm
but then even after menu/hide/, it minimises & is still visible in the task swapper & after exit, it is closed completely, rendering the homescreeen widget useless....
Title: Re: [Paid] Battery Status v1.0.1 By Motaz Alnuweiri
Post by: Allstar12345 on March 11, 2014, 01:27:49 pm
Well it shouldn't do that, works properly for everyone else..
Have you tried resetting the App?

Post by: Allstar12345 on March 11, 2014, 01:30:13 pm
Even just pressing the back button when the widget is live hides it from the task swapper.

And we are talking about the os swapper, not any third party managers.

Well I think you should remove it, re-install it from Store and reboot your phone before trying it again

It could be an issue with your phone or the App.

I do find it rather weird, both me and motaz use the system native method and it has never failed before.

oh sorry to bother you guys,
turns out it was an issue in the phone itself
all the native apps & battery status too which are supposed to run in the background show up in the task manager
its a different problem altogether
i've posted it in dailymobile Symbian forum under new topic
please help me out guys if you've time to spare
btw, thanks for making such a GREAT app
& please tell me about other great apps authored by you
& sorry for the unnecessary botheration
