I have one question.
Which is better than Battery Monitor 3.1 by Nokia and Battery Status by Motaz? ::)

Battery Monitor 3.1 by Nokia consumes a lot of battery when it's running. Battery Status by Motaz doesn't do that. So Battery Status by Motaz is better. But Battery Monitor 3.1 by Nokia monitors all apps and shows how much power each app takes.

Mr. Motaz, i've used this app and i find its clean, fast and purely Qt based native UI perfect
this is the best battery monitor app for Symbian hands down, only Nokia Battery Monitor's bit of functionality edges it out slightly, but then this app and its fabulous widget beats Nokia Battery Monitor too
i only really wish it had a "hide from task manager" option bcoz running in the background to update widget seems a bit cumbersome to me
(power user who switches app every 1.4 sec)
so, if you add that feature, it will be complete as an app
& please inform me about any other apps you've authored
i will buy them off the Nokia Store, devs like you, Mr. Alshahawy, Stuart Howarth, Huellif, Fabian n AllStar12345, Jan Ole Suhr need to be rewarded n set as example/role model for other devs

@projdhar thanks :D

To "hide from task manager" just click the back button or phone red key or close it from task manager it will hide, to really close it "Menu -> Exit"

Uhm, Mr. Motaz, i don't think you quite comprehend me... What i meant to say was a prevent the app from showing up in the taskmanager which comes up on the long press of the menu key (or Belle Extra Buttons TaskManager) with Battery Status working in the background like Belle Extra Buttons (& all of Mr. Alshahawy's fabulous apps too) and Eight by Michal Strug
what you've described here is a process to minimise / close the app which i pretty well know for sure
what remains to be implemented in the app is a "hide from taskmanager" option to enable them to work in background like "Belle Extra Buttons" (& all other Alshahawy appa) & Eight apps

He did understand you, Menu-exit-hide does hide it from the system task swapper.

but then even after menu/hide/, it minimises & is still visible in the task swapper & after exit, it is closed completely, rendering the homescreeen widget useless....

Well it shouldn't do that, works properly for everyone else..
Have you tried resetting the App?

Even just pressing the back button when the widget is live hides it from the task swapper.

And we are talking about the os swapper, not any third party managers.

well, i reckon i've got the latest version
pressing back doesn't quite hide it from the task manager
of course, what we are talkimg about is the built in task manager, best in class alongside desktop windows task manager
but still it doesn't

Well I think you should remove it, re-install it from Store and reboot your phone before trying it again

It could be an issue with your phone or the App.

I do find it rather weird, both me and motaz use the system native method and it has never failed before.

oh sorry to bother you guys,
turns out it was an issue in the phone itself
all the native apps & battery status too which are supposed to run in the background show up in the task manager
its a different problem altogether
i've posted it in dailymobile Symbian forum under new topic
please help me out guys if you've time to spare
btw, thanks for making such a GREAT app
& please tell me about other great apps authored by you
& sorry for the unnecessary botheration
