There is no more incentive to make new app since it is unable to reach mass users without any store to publish.
It's not about money.It's about the app won't reach all symbian users as nokia store is the only official app market and that is what i always/only market recommend when a symbian ask me.Now it is off limit,it is not worth the effort anymore.
i can name five developers active on this forum who aren't in it just for the money.
That's the problem.Even with symbian developer and dailymobile forum developers combine,there is only roughly about 10 is nokia store publisher and their total combine apps don't even reach 30 based on my estimate.All those great qt/qml developers never join both forum and or active.Even kolay at dailymobile only recently active to share her app source and announce you know what.I try to be optimistic but....I even hope some OEM would pick up symbian where nokia left but all this is just hope.
The reason i currently still active in symbian world because since there still user buy my app,it is my responsibility to continue update the app and i haven't bought my nokia 808 yet
