Hello everyone,
This is a very interesting new from nokia. Nokia care says it is not ending the symbian rule! Symbian doesn't have updates currently but will have an update in future. Well hope this is true. Here is the mail from nokia care;[attatchment]

interesting , however its too vague to say anything big is coming like symbian belle big (duh !). Now that its announced 808 as final device made by nokia under symbian system, we will get 'updates' as in small service upgrades + bug fixes.

The early S^3 devices lack the power to run the last FPs. There is hope for refinement to Belle/Refresh, but those of us in North America still have not even received Refresh at all.

There are a bunch of NAM firmwares with belle and belle refresh...the problem is that most Symbian phones in NAM were branded phones and the provider didn't have Nokia update the regional product codes
so flashing is needed to really enjoy the phone...but that is anyway, when flashing a cfw ;)

Are you sure about that? i have an E6 and an N8 which are both NAM unbranded, unlocked phones and neither of them are yet updated to Belle Refresh. The boards in Nokia Support Discussions are riddled with complaints about the US market unlocked versions never getting Refresh, but from what i have read, most of the features of BR are already in the US firmware release (minus the N8 camera apps and a couple widgets).

Over 1 year since that "leak" and i say it is safe to re-file it under "hoax".
Symbian is off of life support, now.

i think we have received the last of the updates for Symbian. Nokia has a new pet now and they have forgotten all about us.

It seems that Nokia has officially abandoned Symbian by saying that new app and updates to existing apps in Nokia store can not be published from January 1st 2014. End of an era.

when I look for Updates in Nokia Suite 3.8.30,
after longer than usual searching it says "Service not available"
usually I had 1 Update there "Copy Data to Cloud for Lumia Phone"
anyone else knew what has happended ??

You sure nothing is blocking it ? I have a program called Peerblock which always blocks suite.

Make sure your internet connection is ok and Suite has you signed in.
From time to time, Suite's internet connection is lost for unknown reasons. You can try exiting the program via File>Exit and then restarting it.
You can alternatively test your connection by browsing the store.

New Nokia Suite v3.8.48 out today (or perhaps yesterday...) which claims numerous bug fixes.
i am curious if it is Nokia Suite's fault that the E72 REFUSED to play with the computer since flashing and installing the SeCon update...
