Title: [Guide] Download Apps from Nokia Store to PC
Post by: Xtreme.Infinity on January 13, 2012, 01:26:20 pm
Hey guys
Most users are very disappointed about Nokia Ovi Store's download policy that it doesn't allow download support to your pc....Officially it is only possible when you connect your phone via Nokia Ovi Suite and then download your desired app but in this method too the app is directly supplied and installed to your particular phone...Means u cannot get the setup file of the particular app...

There are many tricks which you could find on google about downloading apps from ovi store....including User Agent Switcher, etc etc...This one i found is the most easiest one...:)

In this tutorial i'l show you a trick for downloading apps from Nokia Ovi Store to your pc and you can also get the setup file (sis/sisx) file of the desired app, game, theme, etc etc....:P

Firstly Go to store.ovi.com and select your Handset Model...(I am using Nokia 5233)

Then go to the link of your desired app which u want to download..(in this case its Maze Unlock)

Now in the address bar of your browser, cut the address till content number and add "/download" (without quotes)

For e.g:
If the link is "http://store.ovi.com/content/68486?clickSource=homepage&pos=22"
then make it "http://store.ovi.com/content/68486/download" (without quotes)

Make this

To this
(http://i44.tinypic.com/2e4w8x1.jpg)

and press Enter---
You will be asked for the download path...
Just download the app..

Now there are two cases..
1- Some apps which we download from ovi store using above method are with extension .sis/.sisx .
2- But most apps are download with extension sis.dm/sisx.dm....

For Case 1 u can just install it in your phone without any queries..

But for Case 2 All Credits goes to the great CODeRUS for making OviDmSplit..:)

You open the ovidmsplit ( attached below) and then just drag n drop ur desired app downloaded from ovi store having n extension of sis.dm/sisx.dm.

And its done..
A new file will b created in the same directory where source file is being saved...
Just transfer it to ur phne and Enjoy....

This method works for Games also...
Just remove the address till content id just like u did above and add "/download" (without quotes)
It will download a .jad file

Download this .jad file and then open it with Notepad editor..

Now find the text written "MIDlet-Jar-URL:"...here you'l get the link for .jar file.

Now select the link starting from "https://.......to.....before product id starts"..(Check the screenshots for a clear example)

Now copy paste this address to address bar and press Enter..
It will download a .jar file...:)
