Hello experts

I don't know if is possible to update the Real Player for S60V5. I noticed that at my 5800 the Real Player version is 223_20100406 (I am using the ofw), and noticed that the C5-03 have the following version number: 223.20100816 which can open some MP4 files that the one at my 5800 can't run. OK, I know that UC Player can do it, but it would be better to use the standard Real Player to see videos at WhattsApp messages.

Well, if someone know a CFW that have a better Real Player version (than the original one) please let me know, or even a way to change the standard soft from Real Player to UC Player I would appreciate.

The c5-03 has a different os version actually, it's an upgrade to the traditional s60 v5.0 (Single Touch UI) and is also quicker 600mhz

Hello Allstar,

but just being an upgrade doesn't mean it's possible to port the softwares (in case Real Player) to other S60v5 phones by a CFW? As long it doesn't have a GPU and same amount of RAM memory I would understand it should run on those phones as well (C5-03 is just faster..)

As an example, I could see the "Tap to Unlock" available as option in some CFW, so (basically thinking) this would mean it is possible to run other built-in softs. as well.

I'm not completely sure if it would work, if I remember correctly some Applications needed to be given single touch support which could mes  it up a bit.

You could always try copying all of real players files over, but don't be surprised if it doesn't open.
