Symbian^3 Themes / Windows 11 Theme for Symbian Belle & S60v3 !
« Last Post by SymPsion on February 22, 2024, 10:17:54 am »
This is the Symbian (S60v3 & Belle (S60v5.3)) Theme that I just started working on.

Aim:
My goal was simple. It was about how much of the Windows 11 theme could be transferred to the S60.

Situation:
The theme package currently works on devices that support Symbian 9.2/9.3/10.1 and 10.1 Refesh.

Also, I don't have a real Symbian device. (I have some problems with the battery of my Nokia 603.)
So far I have tested all tests with 'Nokia Symbian SDKs'.

Use Tools:
In this theme package;

   - Carbide.ui
   - Inkspace
   - Adobe XD
   - GIMP

I took advantage of their tools.

Since I cannot distinguish the problems other than this very well, I am sharing them here.
Please feel free to give feedback.  :)

Legacy Symbian / The Simple series for UIQv2 (M1000)
« Last Post by SymPsion on October 10, 2023, 03:50:43 pm »
The Simple series is a series of budget-priced video games published by Japanese company D3 Publisher. In 2005, for the Motorola M1000 (also known as FOMA M1000), in partnership with D3 Publisher and NTTDoCoMo, 5 games of the Simple Series were published on NTTDoCoMo's site for this device. This must be the only D3 Publisher game released for Symbian.

Games;
-「THE リバーシ」Simple Reversi

-「THE ビリヤード ~ナインボール~」Simple Bilardo ~Nine Ball~

-「THE 麻雀」Simple Mahjong

-「THE 麻雀パズル~二角取り~」THE Mahjong Puzzle ~Nikakudori~

-「THE マインスイーパー」 THE Mine Sweeper

Additional Information
After I got this game, I tried to do some research, but I couldn't find any proper information either on the Wayback Machine or anywhere else. I think there should be a special set of applications written in Java for this game series M1000 (Symbian UIQ).

Supported Devices
*Symbian v7 + UIQ v2
*1~2MB Free Ram
*208x320
-Motorola M1000
-Motorola A1000

EPOC Archive

Hello everyone. This is my EPOC Archive containing SIBO and Symbian applications/files that I have been trying to collect for a long time. I created this archive for those interested in Symbian. Maybe it might be useful for those who still want to evaluate their old Symbian device. I'll keep it here temporarily for now. Maybe it will be useful to someone. :)

Some applications in the archive, especially MOAP applications, are only available as information and images for the purpose of archiving.

S60v5 Games / SDL-Asylum for Symbian S60
« Last Post by JigokuMaster on September 03, 2023, 11:55:22 pm »
This is a port of the platform game SDL Asylum.  to Symbian S60.

SDL Asylum is a C port of the computer game Asylum, which was written by Andy
Southgate in 1994 for the Acorn Archimedes.

### source code of SDL Asylum  by Hugh Robinson:

https://sourceforge.net/p/sdl-asylum/code/

the game can run on S60v3.
though you can't see the whole screen.
because minimal resolution is 320x256p and it's no easy to change it ...

so i have focused on S60v5/belle device with 360x640p screen.
thanks to Mert Cakir (SymPsion) for designing the skin and other buttons/controls for touchscreen.

### Note : in 360x640p mode. the game has been tested only on EKA2L1. and it's working fast with OpenGLES, please let me know. if you have noticed any slow down. while running it on your device.

### Download files :

- asylum_minimal.sisx , this version  without sound , it uses only SDL for rendering.

- asylum_full.sisx ,  this version  with sound enabled , uses OpenGLES for blitting.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wPaod6GsiTt_aWtaupIhdcZr-wM3Cc5c/view?usp=sharing

### Instructions :

use arrow KEYS for movment.
for shooting USE A button , or KEY 6 on hardware keyboards.
for jump USE B button , or KEY 5 on hardware keyboards.

The game revolves around shooting anything which moves, collecting anything
which doesn't move, and, most importantly, finding your way to each of the
eight pulsating neurons scattered throughout the immense map.

The one game feature which does merit explicit instruction is teleporting.
In the first level ("Ego") the teleporters look like candelabra.  To use a
teleporter, stand in its centre and press "down".

Symbian^3 Games / HexTris for Symbian
« Last Post by SymPsion on August 28, 2023, 02:42:17 pm »
Unofficial Symbian Belle version of HTML 5 based HexTris :D
It's simple and a port that works on touchscreens.
I created it with the wgz file I obtained from the Symbian Foundation's Wikipedia application. This is a nice little advice for those who want to develop Symbian applications using HTML and CSS.
Orginal Source Code: https://github.com/Hextris/hextris

The current version 1.10. The buttons should now appear more properly. :D

I thank Jigoku Master for his help and suggestions. ;)

Hextris by:
    Logan Engstrom (@lengstrom)
    Garrett Finucane (@garrettdreyfus)
    Noah Moroze (@nmoroze)
    Michael Yang (@themichaelyang)

I don't know anything about programming. This is my first smooth attempt and it worked on the Nokia 603. :)

Forum Support and News / New user registration is now disabled
« Last Post by Allstar12345 on August 21, 2023, 10:43:01 pm »
Just a quick heads up, new user registration on Symbian-Developers Forum has now been disabled.

After some recent security upgrades to the forum software it has ended up crippling some rather important profile features and fixing it all is going to be no easy task that I simply don't have the time for.

Another point, I've done the calculations on this and 95% of monthly traffic is now bots (463 thousand hits were bots last month and 21 thousand actual real hits), that's not sustainable from a server point of view as my own projects are starting to be affected by the resources used.

This may be the start of a ramping down of SDF, I'm looking at the impact of finally enabling https as I've held off for longer than I should have to keep the forum compatible with Symbian devices.

Symbian^3 Modding / Changing some colours on Symbian Belle
« Last Post by shinnichi on July 09, 2023, 06:58:16 pm »
Hi
Can someone please help me. Is there a way to change the background colour of the toolbar, notification drop down box, and widgets on Belle. At the moment they are a grey colour with a slightly purple tint. I want to change them to pure dark grey or black.
I don't mind if I have to mod some firmware and flash. I just can't find anything on changing these colours anywhere online.
Thanks

General Symbian^3 Discussions / Just before Symbian dies lol jk
« Last Post by SymbianAnna on July 09, 2023, 03:07:57 pm »
I mean literally, save Symbian?

Considering Nokia N8 is the 'only' telephone out there (besides the Nokia Stick Phone 7280(hence its name(Hence its a good example, comparing it with a stick))). No offence to anybody out there, the Nokia N8 still competes with the Iphone 14? True or False? True

With It's HDMI and FM Transmitter feature.

Reasons we need to save Symbian.

SAVE SYMBIAN? WHERE DO WE START? WERE WE BETRAYED FROM THE BEGGINING?

Well when you first pick up a telephone 'these' days you notice the 'camera' at the front'. Back in the days (and mind you I've only looked through this forum(being a former Symbian fan)and realized there are heaps of names i recognise from back in the days when i used to download MODS, CFW'z etc for the Nokia N8,. Developers, software engineers, coders, programmers)
The Camera is not suppose to be there, obviously.

One used to look at it and feel uncomfortable. But helpless we all were. Anybody out there that knows anybody that hasn't stepped Infront of a 'front' camera of a modern telephone?
Soo, this shifted society, and the World looks a lot like the N8 these days, dry, desolate, 3G. So since we are dealing with 3G..> Symbian >Trojans

Apparently 1 telephone these days carries batteries that can put a Hole in the Ozone layer, and that's 1 telephone? Don't ask for references please.

So we've started with the first problem. The front Cameras have to have a 'CAP' a 'lid' for privacy reasons. It should be clear to the user when it's open and clear to the user when it's closed. That should be the utmost important feature of any telephone made.

Why am i talking about something that doesn't exist? Not in our reality?
Well WAR is in our reality now and the Ukrainian flag on this website, Suprises to me find out this website is based in UK? Not mentioning it for any reason.

Hence, we've been betrayed by Nokia - throwing the N9 at us after an open front camera WTF. At least deny it first.  New UI? WAW. TTF. TAPTAPF(you can guess what the F stands for)

THE LONGPRESS IS A BETTER FORM OF COMMUNICATION. RIGHT CLICK WINDOWS 11 RIGHT CLICK

We have 2 options, Android or Iphone. Neither possess the long press function. This has created a type of schizophrenia called TTF TAPTAPF***. It causes users to suffer reality confusion and creates a disorder that makes people 'believe in an altered delusional reality in their daily life'. When it comes to reading, writing, calculating, general daily tasks. Users’ subconscious confuses reality by subconsciously being controlled by TTF

CONTROLLING THE INTERNET

Who controls the internet? You have really let me down these days. Search up Top 5 Trojans of 2023 and you get a list from 2010(Nokia N8((symbians)) release date))). I thought WE controlled the internet? What the hell happened to all the Trojans?
We need trojans that can "Steal wifi, bluetooth passswords, steal app data(passwords, user settings),remote control via PC and Phone, put false FACE ID etcetcanythingandeverything” to create what’s called proportionate life. People need to be able to steal peoples bank account details, withdraw money have some fun and let the guy next to him have some fun too hence proportionate life. Kids need to have access to Trojans to enable them to smile. Make others smile.
Wheres a Trojan for the Iphone 14? How does one access app data(passwords, user settings, WhatsAPP contacts, etc)?
They are using malfunctioning HARDWARE to disable software developers with promises of new interactive interfaces and the only thing we get is WAR. We get laggy expensive Laptops instead.
We can't have software developers controlling the internet, they are corporations.

TOUCH SCREEN AND AND HARDWARE MALFUNCTION DUE TO SOFTWARE DEVELOPERS AND COOPERATIONS

HARDWARE HADWARE HARDWARE HOW DO WE CONTROL HARDWARE FROM THE INTERNET?
What ever happend to Mini CD's that could hold up to 700mb, then they had the 4GB ones? Remember those? Now my laptop doesn't even have a CD DRIVE. I go to the store at what's this USBC slot? Why do I have a USBC SLOT if I HAVE A USB?

Does any of this weird to anyone?, most of it is made up so don't stress about anything.
btw to save Symbian I think we need some new Trojans for the PC first ha?
