[HELP]How to add writing language to a cfw?
« on: January 07, 2013, 12:10:38 am »
Hi this is my first post here so plz be gentel.

I will try to explain my problem.I own a nokia 5530 for a few years and everytime i tried to update it with OTA or nokia pc suite it always said that there is no upadate available but the one i had atm its was from 2009.After some research i changed the product code and tried again with no lack. Then i run into a cfw for symbian anna v7.9 for nokia 5530 so i flashed that into my phone successfuly. My only problem is that i cant type in greek,my contacts and sms from sim that are in greek appear just fine.

I started searching again on how to add greek for writing so i did the following steps that i found on some forums.

I downloaded the latest firmware from navifrim that support my language and i opened the rofs2 file with nokia cooker. Then i copied the ecome-2-0.spi(which i renamed to ecome-2-1.spi) and the +Ptikeymappings_555_xx.dll and pasted them into the rofs2 file of symbian anna.I repacked the file and flashed my phone again with the new rofs2.It opend and worked ok but still no greek language available in the sms menu :/

Can you plz help me?

you are missing a bunch of files...

I'll send you a link with a drag and drop folder for all the files needed for the 5530 tonight....

in drag and drop files:

5530 greek writing files with modded ecom.spi
- no need for you to do anything but drag and drop to rofs
- Font for greek

5530 full greek UI
- modded with fixed boot data to fit the symbian anna 7.9 for 5530 (english, lta spanish, greek)
- modded ecom.spi to have all the plugins, without inflicting the original ecom.spi
- Font for greek
- no need for you to do anything but drag and drop to rofs

anyway you do it, it should be fine
