Title: question about downgrading software

i want to know that why we cant downgrade our cell phones? what changes does the nokia makes in the core so that the phone doesn't boots up when flash with a lower version?

Only first generation Symbian^3 devices can be downgraded, these are the N8, C7, E7,C6-01, E6, X7, Oro.. and some Chinese models..

The others.. we don't know really.. I think it's something to do with one of the hash checks.

what is the difference between higher core and lower version core?

Whatever they change, we don't know what they add or remove.

Wish 2nd Gen Belle phones could be downgraded  :'(
