I mean the latitude and longitude, not a URL to nokia.com which the recipient has to go to, which is what the current Nokia Maps app does.

Topic moved to General Symbian^3 discussions,
Give GPS Info Qt a try, it's an decent app.

That looks like just the right app - thank you.
But both download options are greyed-out.

You need to sign in or open that link in your phones default browser.

I am signed in.
What I have recently found is that the Nokia shop blocks all downloads to a PC, so one has to use the Mobile DL option, and you click on that and a URL is sent to the phone via SMS.
I will try the DL link on the phone itself. Bizzare!

Well what it does is it opens Nokia suite if you have it installed, if not it just does jack all, or yo just search for GPS Info Qt on your phone Nokia store app.

Many thanks for the tip.
I found the .sis file (latest version 1.4.9) via google, quickly enough :) I have two N700 phones, as a main+backup, so having the actual .sis file is much more useful. As it's a free app, I can't see why they are being difficult about it.
It does exactly what I need. It sends both the lat/long coordinates and the nokia maps position. A pity the emergency services don't publish a mobile number as that would be really useful :)
BTW why do you have the captcha verification? I run a forum too (aviation related) and we don't have issues with people hacking it. If somebody is logged in, they can't do much, so the thing is to control the account creation itself - IMHO.

It's not down to hacking, mainly spam bots spamming the f*** out of the boards, it will stop after 5 posts ;)
