First off, if this flirts a bit too much with piracy concerns, please remove the post.
i recently reinstalled iTunes after finding out it is an .aac converter (i also rediscovered that PC Suite is, too
) and after installing it, it set me up with all the music i had previously purchased. Now, i have hundreds and hundreds of songs in this protected .aac format (.m4p) and i want to put them on the phones, but i really do not want to have to burn and rip to get them.
Is there a way to defeat the DRM permissions in the firmware? i know where several of the related files are and i have read them a bit, but i do not know how to modify them to allow protected file playback (if it's even possible).
Thanks and/or sorry
