Title: [Tutorial] How to mod avkon2.mif
Post by: RaReMinD on August 04, 2012, 11:48:22 am: Here is the simple tutorial for some newbies who wants their own icons... :) :D

How To Edit[step by step] :

here is the step by step tutorial with picture

1. Open siscontent .

2. File >New Package> Empty Package> click Ok....(or else u can press ctrl+N)

3. Now go to tab conents> add entry> add file entry And select avkon2.mif u want to edit> click ok

4. Now there is a .mif file in contents..double click it

5. Replace the entry responsible for what u want with the one u want

5. After that, press close..

6. Save the file with any name u want it. (remember that it will be in .sis file)

7. Extract that file again using siscontent, and extract the avkon2.mif file that u have edit.

8. Replace the file in your Phone.

9. It is done!! :D

note:
Go to the folder where it's extracted, you will get most of the nvg files which can't be edited but few svg files..
svg file can be edit using Inkscape or supported app and then repack the mif file ..

here is some of the entry responsible for:

Entry15 - antenna
Entry151 - headset
Entry538 - sdcard
Entry724 - call symbol at the toolbar (centre)
Entry747 - moon in PSM
Entry746 - baterry colour in PSM
Entry745 - battery border in PSM
Entry742 - baterry in normal/charge
Entry741 - battery border in normal/charge
Entry751 - The signal level of the operator
Entry750 - background signal level of the operator
Entry580 - satellites
Entry775 - silent icon
Entry562 - folder icon in file manager
Entry297 - empty folder icon in file manager
Entry563 - empty folder icon in file manager
Entry296 - folder icon in file manager
Entry752 - 2 bar signal wifi
Entry753 - 3 bar signal wifi
Entry754 - 4 bar signal wifi
Entry 734 - search desktop icon
Entry 125 - Lock Phone (Key)
Entry 110 - Alarm
Entry 112 - Bluetooth Connecting
Entry 115 - Bluetooth on
Entry 129 - Message received icon
Entry 229 - Brightness
Entry 259 - USB connecting
Entry 260 - missed call
Entry 424 - offline
Entry 540 - 543 - mobile data connecting that shows 3g, 3.5 g
Entry 548 - 3.5g text
Entry 604 - FM Transmitter
Entry 623 - USB on the go

you're right that credit should've been added but original mod was by kalinnvs. I don't see anyone crediting his work . Everyone is making new threads without even mentioning him once.

Does any1 else experience the same problem or am I only stupid?
